Transformational Teaching Workshops for Teachers & Education Staff

Teachers are such critical role models and guides for our children. They require support and nourishment to feel equipped to teach children from a space of peace and resilience, just like parents do.


Extra Roots curriculum supports teachers and the education system work force through holistic workshops that cover behavior science, neuroscience, child development, and nervous system regulation, starting by centering in one each individual and their individual needs. Workshops support teachers to understand children's different developmental stages so that they can better meet them where they are at.

If you are looking for one-on-one support and guidance to integrate new learning or teaching requirements, or to support yourself in your journey as an empowered teacher, here is the place.   


Teacher coaching supports you to tune into yourself, where you are coming from, the patterns of teaching that you've been exposed to, and what you are bringing consciously, or unconsciously, into your classroom.


Teacher coaching supports you to learn more about your student's development to better understand why they are showing up the way that they are and moreover support you to show up to be the teacher that you want to be.

    The workshop was very interesting and it was good to reflect back about why we had become teachers in the first place and our own bodily responses to our different emotions.

    I found the neuroscience section intriguing, and although I already had previous knowledge about this through my play therapy training, it was good to refresh and go into more detail, which Laura did.

    The 'Teaching Through Connection' workshop was incredibly powerful and insightful. It really resonated with me on a personal and professional level. Exploring topics like self-reflection, understanding the nervous system, and creating our own emotional thermometers helped me gain a deeper awareness of my own emotional state and how it affects my teaching.
