Become the parent that you want to be.
It begins with one step.
If parenting is
not what you imagined...
And if you aren’t the parent you imagined you would be.
Do you feel lost in your parenting? Wondering why you are so easily triggered by the small things, your child spilling the milk over and over, or having to repeat yourself ten times for them to brush their teeth, every single day? Does it just feel like too much?
Do you seek to be more rooted in your parenting, to feel grounded and to
respond
versus react?
Parenting is the most complex and difficult task in life,
and
it’s never-ending. It’s a challenge to not get overwhelmed, to not lose yourself in the never-ending tasks and demands, in your child’s needs, in the outside pressures, and the list goes on. Add to the mix other competing priorities such as a career, and it’s easy to see how we sometimes find ourselves parenting on a low or empty tank. It isn’t sustainable. And it isn’t fair to us or to our children.
Without conscious effort and redirected energy our parenting methods can create conflict instead of what we are all deeply yearning for: grounded and loving connection. And peace in the home.

It’s Never Too Late to
Turn Things Around
No matter what your relationship with your child(ren) looks like right now, there is hope. You and your child(ren) can still shift, in ways that you never knew were possible, but that you may have dreamed of.
None of us start off as parents knowing what to do. Sadly enough, we don’t receive an owner’s manual at our child’s birth. We all start from scratch, leaning on those around us for guidance, and learning by doing. We trust our instincts, we follow our nose, and we try to do our best. Yet, we are faced with a daily struggle, a struggle on how to get everything done that we need to, or want to, how to manage the day-to-day (and sometimes night) needs, and to find any space, whatsoever, for ourselves. Losing sight of ourselves.
But with understanding, support, and the right tools, we can find a place for us to coexist with our child(ren) in an environment based on trust, respect, love, and connection. Through consciously modeling these traits to our child(ren), we will receive them in return. We can step out of power dynamics and learn to breathe through it. And thanks to neuroplasticity and mirror neurons, our children’s behavior, attitudes, and perspectives can shift-
before our eyes.
It’s possible. But you need to start from somewhere.
I entered the course feeling frazzled and overwhelmed as a working mum of two young children. I did not understand why I was so quick to snap with my children when in other parts of life, I was calm and in control. Laura’s guidance through the Jai course helped me understand that changes in my own behavior and ability to calm myself in times of stress could create changes also in their behavior. It equipped me with invaluable understanding, and tips and tricks that have helped me to create a more peaceful and joyful home. -Nichola, UK
